The Jaecoo J7 now comes with an accessories package as standard, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia announced via its social media channels. This only applies to the AWD variant, with the accessories included in the package being a side toolkit box as well as electric side steps.
The former is actually part of the J7’s accessories catalogue and priced at RM2,000, while the latter goes for RM5,800. Worth pointing out that on Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia’s official website, there is a ‘Package A’ that can be purchased separately for RM7,500 and includes the side toolkit box and electric side steps.
When purchased with the car, the price is reduced to RM5,000 with this revision. As such, the locally-assembled J7 AWD with the two accessories is priced at RM153,800 (OTR without insurance) instead of RM148,800 normally.
Other available accessories are a hard-shell side awning (RM2,600), tactical boxes (RM3,000), a roof rack (RM5,800) and side ladder (RM1,500). Some of these items are part of ‘Package B’ for RM10,000, namely the roof rack, side tookit box and side awning.
The AWD version of the J7 is powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that makes 197 PS (194 hp or 145 kW) and 290 Nm of torque. This is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive system to enable a 0-100 km/h time of 9.9 seconds and top speed of 180 km/h.
A set of 19-inch ‘Aurora’ wheels, automatic LED headlamps, 64-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 50-watt wireless charging pad, seven drive modes, an eight-speaker Sony audio system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a head-up display and ADAS suite are all standard equipment.

Wow RM153k OTR got auto side steps and Side box some more. 1st time seeing such offer in the world for such a low price.Accessory alone in the US will cost more than RM30K
It’s seems more meaningful than simply giving SE, etc edition.
One thing you got to admire about cheap China crap. It’s cheap. Sure, the whole thing will fall apart in 3 yrs, but for people who can afford to treat cars like phones, it’s enough.
Jawco J7 Discovery, can’t even come up with an original idea for a toolbox
Tested Omoda C9 AWD. Handling is poor. Tested Jaecoo J7 AWD, drove better and more comfort. Since C9 also with bad driving experience, no point I tested the J7.
thats because omoda has adaptive dampers which you should have put in sport mode during your testdrive
It’s been almost 2 months since I bought Jaecoo J7, but I haven’t been called to install the side step electric and side toolkit box.
