Geely Galaxy V900 EREV MPV set to debut on Nov 21

Geely Galaxy V900 EREV MPV set to debut on Nov 21

Geely has announced it will reveal a new MPV at this year’s Auto Guangzhou on November 21. Called the V900, it will be parked under the Chinese automaker’s Galaxy brand and has a twin in the form of the LEVC L380.

Judging by the teaser images posted on Geely Galaxy’s official Weibo page, the V900 will follow the design language of its stablemate, with familiar cues being a rounded front end, expressive front and rear lighting, a flat roofline and black pillars. There are differences though, as the V900 has a prominent full-width front grille as compared to the “blank” look on the L380, and there’s LiDAR unit on the roof.

This is because where the L380 is a pure electric model, the V900 will be an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV). Regulatory filings indicate the MPV will come with a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine providing 163 PS (161 hp or 120 kW), along with two battery options. The first is a 50-kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) unit from CALB that provides up to 172 km of electric-only range, while the other option is a CATL-sourced 50-kWh NMC battery for up to 202 km.

The V900 will be a big vehicle, measuring in at 5,360 mm long, 1,998 mm wide and 1,940 mm tall. That makes it longer overall compared to the L380 that spans 5,316 mm. Within this footprint is space for up to six (2+2+2 layout) or eight seats (2+2+2+2 layout), with 919 or 347 mm of trunk depth available, respectively.

CarNewsChina reports the Galaxy V900 is expected to launch in China this year, and it could also make its way to the United Kingdom where the L380 is slated to go on sale there next year.

Ah yes, only Hyundai can use the front light bar. Haiya, hater logic is always only look at one part and ignore the rest.

Nothing is honest and genuine from China, is a copy or ciplak… no honesty, just steal tech. design. Tapi bila dia kena sikit aja kecoh satu kampung.. thats not fairlah….macam macam… when dia buat its a open and globalised market..should not be supporting such unethical practices…

This one is better than Grand Ace, Staria, and the V class.

Original had the EV, now getting Range Extender alternative, wow. Amazed how they can fit in classic motor to an EV.
