Watch the video above and you’ll see a trailer lorry, purportedly at the southbound Ayer Keroh R&R services, negotiating a rather tight turn, made tighter by some cars parked on the inside of the bend. The big rig swipes against the cars to get past, tearing off part of the front bumper of at least two of the cars.
The comments section is buzzing, of course, with many criticising the cars for parking where they shouldn’t (not in a designated bay, on a bend and, some sources say, along an entrance meant for heavy vehicles) and noting that an insurance claim would be unsuccessful as a result.
Still, some say it looks like the trailer lorry actually has enough room on the outside of the bend to clear the cars, while others bemoan the lack of parking spaces at highway R&Rs, especially during holidays. Regardless, this is a reminder to all of us to always give long vehicles a wide berth. Your thoughts?

Ah… Malaysians screwing Malaysians. Yup, that is this country of idiots.
Park at you own risk!!
Yeah easy peasy. Try drive one prime mover with a semi trailer and don’t expect the trailer will stick to the left side of the road. It doesn’t work that way. Even a bus half the length of that trailer can’t do that. Heavy vehicles were designed differently, they don’t drive like cars.
I am hoping the insurance companies saw this clip and reject the claim, especially after reading the police report : saya letak kereta di ruangan parkir untuk ke tandas selama 10 minit, bila saya pulang saya lihat kereta saya sudah dilanggar oleh sebuah kenderaan lain nombor tidak tahu.
Nice..good job lorry driver…i read that the driver was waiting for about an hour for them to move…enough parking or not is not a reason for your chimpanzee ass to park anywhere you want…let alone at a heavy vehicle designated area
Apa pun alasan pemilik kereta, ia tetap salah dan ternyata membawa padah.
can we borrow this lorry driver for all the motorbikes parked at pedestrian walkways? especially those near LRT stations and on the blind person pathways?
FAFO
2 wrongs does not make a right
no excuses to park at the road side, if this RR is full, then just drive to the next RR. All these selfish people that kena, you all deserved it.
LOL illegal parking traffic obstruction cum incident, good luck claims own insurance burns own ncd.
Memang car owners fault but looking at the video, the lorry driver also purposely drove towards the cars to create more damage.
To those that park outside designated parking areas whenever an R&R is obviously full, exit d highway to d nearest town even if you have to backtrack to 1 that you have already passed, or just proceed to d next R&R. It’s lousy & selfish excuse for insufficient parking space to justify you blocking others. Every1 just wants to reach their destination.
Is the trailer with extra width ? it mentioned those cars parked along entrance meant for heavy vehicles. also noticed long queue of buses and trucks behind the trailer.
By right, the trailer must contact PLUS authority to take action. it cannot take such action insitu as there will be liability for taking action unilaterally.
these cars parked illegally and impedes traffic is a traffic offence which only police & Plus can take action.
Please do not take action when there is responsible authority.
Nice one lorry driver. Idiotic parkers.
The trailer appears to have enough space at the tail but the head probably already at the edge of the road.
Common sense.
Kl nak park macam ni, boleh, tinggakn lah no hp nama dj cermjn hadapan kereta, mesti ada orng akn telefon.
kali ni aku sokong palat darat
I salute the lorry driver. We need more lorry drivers like this to teach all the morons who park cars at corners and T-junctions.
Books handed out by Driving schools tell us that vehicles cannot be parked WITHIN 6 metres of junctions!!
No sane driver would wait for an hour if there’s really an enough room.
Good lesson for all Malaysian, do not park your car at yellow line
This is truly an effective ASMR clip. I will add this video to my lullaby playlist and watch it every night before going to bed.
park at r&r for an hour? what are those car drivers even doing there?! rent an hourly hotel and have s*x?
