Prasarana is doubling the fare for the Rapid On-Demand service to RM2 a journey from February. The RM1 promo fare has existed since the 2023 proof-of-concept phase. The new fare also applies to My50, Rapid Kota, Rapid Kembara and Rapid Keluarga pass holders.
In the Klang Valley, Rapid Pelajar and Rapid Emas concession card holders will continue to enjoy half price, while free travel continues for Rapid Mesra (OKU) concession card holders and (in Penang) Mutiara Pass holders.
The popular first- and last-mile van service has achieved a daily ridership of over 19,000 as of end-2025, and there are currently 301 Rapid On-Demand vans operating in 82 zones in the Klang Valley and Penang.
“Unlike regular train and bus services that operate on a fixed schedule and route, Rapid On-Demand is a unique service, with more dynamic service zones and virtual stops that can be adjusted according to operational needs.
“This actual operating rate is important to support service continuity and continuous improvement of the user experience,” Prasarana Malaysia strategy and planning head Sharul Azwa Abd Rani said.
On January 16, Rapid On-Demand took over 16 MRT feeder routes and three Rapid KL bus routes. There’s only one app now (Rapid On-Demand for iOS | Rapid On-Demand for Android) – the ability to book the service was removed from Mobi, Trek Rides and Kummute on November 15.

The federal govt is only just the shareholder of Prasarana. Any money collected from fares goes straight into Prasarana’s account which is audited. Therefore, if you have proof that the money goes straight into the pocket of any govt minister, please show it.
