BYD Atto 3 Ultra gets new Atlantis Grey colour option – limited tax-free EV stock offered at RM105,800

BYD has announced that the Atto 3 Ultra is still available in tax-free form at a promotional price of RM105,800. Stocks are limited. There’s also a new Atlantis Grey exterior colour option to go with the three existing choices – Ski White, Harbour Grey and Cosmos Black.

Two greys then? Previously available on BYD models like the Seal, Sealion 7 and Dolphin, Atlantis Grey looks more like a shade of blue than grey – it looks like this in the metal.

The BYD Atto 3 Ultra was launched in Malaysia in March 2025. It’s an updated version of the previous Extended Premium variant with revised trim, more kit and a lower price (from RM118,800) to compete with the Proton eMas 7, which deliveries started in early 2025.

Updates include a new 18-inch wheel design, a minor revision to the headlamps and black lower trim to replace silver. Inside, the Ultra’s upholstery is black (was blue) with yellow contrast (was red). The quirky ‘guitar strings’ on the door pockets are now black instead of red. Ventilated seats and an NFC digital key joined the kit list.

No changes underneath, which means that the pioneering EV (for the current wave) is powered by a front motor with 204 PS and 310 Nm, good for 0-100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. The single motor gets juice from a 60.48 kWh in-house Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that offers up to 420 km of WLTP range. As for charging, the max rates are 88 kW DC (10-80% SoC in 40 minutes) and 7 kW AC.

  • Wow, from RM150,000 to RM105,000.
No wonder these people pushing hard the “resale value not important” narrative.
