3 Series in 2026 — what's new
The G20 LCI 2 carries into 2026 with a RM9,000 price increase under BMW Malaysia’s revised pricing. The current line-up remains the 320i Sport, 330i M Sport and 330Li M Sport, all using 1,998 cc petrol engines, rear-wheel drive and automatic transmission. The 2027 G50 successor debuts with new styling and technology, but the current 3 Series remains the 2025-launched G20 LCI 2.
Which variant to buy
Most buyers should start with the RM267,800 320i Sport. Its 184 hp 1,998 cc petrol engine, rear-wheel drive and five-seat cabin retain the essential 3 Series formula, while the RM49,000 jump to the 258 hp 330i M Sport is substantial. Choose the RM316,800 330i M Sport if the extra 74 hp matters more than the saving. The RM323,800 330Li M Sport costs RM7,000 more than the 330i and has 255 hp; check its equipment and cabin requirements before paying the difference.
Verdict
The 3 Series remains a well-rounded compact executive sedan, balancing size, handling, performance, practicality and styling. The three petrol, rear-wheel-drive variants give buyers a clear spread from 184 hp to 258 hp, rather than forcing an electrified powertrain. Its facelift-era interior is less user-friendly, however, so the cabin deserves close scrutiny. At RM267,800, it costs less than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class but far more than the Tesla Model 3, Dongfeng 007 and BYD Seal.
