The X254 generation launched in 2023 and the Malaysian range starts from RM329,888. It spans the 224 hp GLC200 AMG Line and the 335 hp plug-in hybrid GLC 350e 4Matic AMG Line.
GLC in 2026 — what's new
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLC carries into 2026 unchanged in Malaysian X254 form. The range remains a pair of five-seat, all-wheel-drive automatic SUVs: the GLC200 AMG Line with a 1,999 cc 224 hp petrol hybrid/REV powertrain, and the GLC 350e 4Matic AMG Line, a 335 hp 1,999 cc petrol plug-in hybrid. The X254 generation launched in 2023.
Which variant to buy
Most buyers should take the RM329,888 GLC200 AMG Line. It has 224 hp, all-wheel drive, an automatic gearbox and five seats, while costing RM69,000 less than the RM398,888 GLC 350e 4Matic AMG Line. Choose the 350e if the plug-in hybrid powertrain and its 335 hp output are priorities. On paper, both share the same 1,999 cc capacity, AWD layout, automatic transmission and seating capacity, so check the equipment list before paying the extra.
Verdict
The GLC200 starts slightly above the BMW X3 and Volvo XC60, which are priced from RM325,800 and RM328,888 respectively, though it remains below the RM352,900 Audi Q5. The GLC 350e sits at RM398,888, higher than all three. Buyers pay for a compact executive Mercedes SUV with AWD and hybrid power; the 350e’s extra output comes at a substantial premium.
