TNB Electron EV charging station

It’s this weekend! Yup, the paultan.org Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2026, powered by Petronas Primax, is poised to give you, your family and your friends a variety of amazing deals on wheels from October 31 to November 1 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC). Be there or be square!

TNB Electron, the EV charging network under the national power company Tenaga Nasional Berhad, is a proud ACE 2026 co-sponsor. It powers Malaysia’s EV transition by ensuring reliable electricity infrastructure and providing public charging facilities, of which there are currently well over 200 nationwide, including on highways, in commercial hubs, at petrol stations and even hotels.

TNB Electron aims to make EV charging more accessible to facilitate convenient and hassle-free electric journeys. There’s also the educational aspect – it works to help Malaysians better understand EV charging, thereby encouraging zero-emissions mobility and spurring the country’s EV ecosystem.

The network is growing fast. TNB had installed 256 EV charge points nationwide by the end of 2025, with 96 more in progress, and it aims to deploy another 250 this year. The chargers are run by TNBX, TNB’s charge point operator, and are focused on highways and major trunk roads, commercial and public locations, and TNB’s own premises and government facilities.

TNB Electron’s fast chargers now deliver up to 480 kW. Beyond the highways, there’s a twin-gun 200 kW charger at BHPetrol Jalan Genting Klang, and a pilot with Maybank launched in February has put TNB Electron chargers at Maybank Academy in Bangi.

The sites are monitored round the clock, and TNBX runs an extended-hours helpline should you need help at a charger.

So keep that range anxiety at bay – whether you’re an EV owner already or are considering one, you can count on TNB Electron’s wide-spread and strategically-mapped out charging network, seamless payments and responsive support.

If you plan to charge at home as well, TNB has published a guide to installing an EV home charger safely, from getting an ST-registered contractor to check your wiring to when you’ll need a three-phase supply.
