Pump price vs market benchmarks

Market lines are benchmark proxies, converted to RM per litre at the day's USD/MYR rate and averaged over each price week: NYMEX RBOB gasoline (US) tracks petrol, front-month Singapore Gasoil (Platts-settled) futures track diesel, and Brent crude is shown for context. They exclude duty, transport, retail margins and any subsidy — the gap to the pump price is that wedge. RBOB is a US gasoline benchmark, used here since the free Singapore Mogas 95 feed was discontinued in June 2026, so it follows RON95/97 only loosely.
