Overview
The BYD Seal 6 is a five-seat, rear-wheel-drive C-segment electric sedan for drivers who want a conventional saloon body and more than 400 km of quoted range. Launched in 2025, it starts from RM100,000 and gets a 56.64 kWh battery, single-ratio automatic transmission, and either 129 hp or 215 hp.
The Seal 6 carries into 2026 with its two-variant Malaysian range intact. Dynamic and Premium retain the 56.64 kWh battery, 410 km quoted range and rear-wheel drive, with 129 hp and 215 hp respectively. The Malaysian update for 2026 is the addition of Sage Green paint. No Malaysian battery or powertrain change is announced for 2026.

Which variant to buy
Most buyers should pick the RM100,000 Dynamic. It has the same 56.64 kWh battery, 410 km range, rear-wheel drive and five-seat layout as the Premium, so it delivers the essential Seal 6 package for less. The RM115,800 Premium adds 86 hp, taking output to 215 hp. On paper, the RM15,800 gap buys you power rather than extra battery capacity or range; pay it only if the higher output matters to you.

The Seal 6 brings electric power to the C-segment sedan format with a useful 4,720 mm body, making it nearly 40 mm longer than a Honda Civic. Its 410 km quoted range is shared by both variants, while the Dynamic starts RM6,800 below the Aion ES. The Premium’s extra output is clear, but its higher price needs to be justified by your own need for 215 hp.
