Perodua Axia G vs X

Verdict

The RM33,900 Axia is the sensible spend when the brief is cheap automatic transport: it shares the 998 cc 67 hp/91 Nm three-cylinder, D-CVT, 265-litre boot and two-airbag safety count with the RM38,500 version. The RM4,600 gap buys LED reflector headlamps, four rather than two speakers, keyless push-button start, steering tilt and two front parking sensors. That is useful daily kit, but not a mechanical or safety upgrade. Choose the dearer Axia only if those conveniences matter to you from day one.

G

Pick the Perodua Axia if you want the same 67 hp D-CVT drivetrain and core safety kit for RM4,600 less.

X

Pick the Perodua Axia if LED headlamps, push-button start, steering tilt, four speakers and front parking sensors justify RM4,600 to you.
