CX-5 in 2026 — what's new
For 2026, the KF facelift remains on sale while the third-generation CX-5 is prepared for its Malaysian arrival. The current five-variant line-up continues with 2.0-litre petrol, 2.5-litre petrol, 2.2-litre diesel and 2.5-litre turbo petrol power. The 2.0G High receives a 12.3-inch screen and body-coloured cladding in its 2026 update, with its price cut by RM10,000. The incoming third-generation model is previewed with a 2.5-litre engine only.

Most buyers should start with the RM134,469 2.0 2WD Mid: it has the same 162 hp, 1,998 cc petrol engine, front-wheel drive and five seats as the RM151,469 2.0 2WD High. Check the equipment list before paying the RM17,000 difference. The RM164,960 2.5 2WD High brings 192 hp for those wanting more power. Choose the RM170,323 2.2D High 2WD only if diesel suits your use, while the RM178,760 2.5T High AWD is the one for 228 hp and all-wheel drive.
