Lexus fielded in five tuned cars for the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show 2015 this week – the gamut of models shown include modified versions of the IS and RC, but the main focus at Las Vegas was on the high-performance RC F and GS F, both tuned by Gordon Ting and Beyond Marketing.
Both cars are wrapped in striking Burnt Orange, but the RC F is the most outlandish of the two, with a custom Pandem Widebody GT aero kit (including a massive rear wing) and 20-inch Volk Racing TE37 Ultra wheels shod with Bridgestone Potenza tyres. Inside, there’s a six-point roll cage by Evasive Motorsports as well as FIA-approved Sparco Grid Competition race seats.
Under the bonnet, the 5.0 litre naturally-aspirated V8 – which in stock form serves up 470 hp at 7,100 rpm and 530 Nm from 4,800 to 5,600 rpm – is fitted with a Takeda Retain intake system and a GReddy Supreme SP dual exhaust system, while the chassis has been uprated with a KW Suspension Varient 3 coilover kit and Brembo disc brakes measuring a whopping 405 mm at the front, stopped by six-piston monobloc callipers.
The GS F is certainly the more subtle of the two (if you can call a bright orange car subtle), sporting a Sumeru carbon fibre lip kit and 20-inch Advan Racing GT Premium wheels wrapped in Falken Azenis FK453 tyres. Elsewhere, you’ll find the same intake and exhaust upgrades to the V8 mill – here making 467 hp as standard – as well as Brembo brakes. A TEIN Prototype Street Advance damper kit round off the changes.
