Tesla Model 3 LR AWD discontinued in Malaysia, new Mid Valley Southkey Supercharger FOC this weekend

If you’ve had a Tesla Model 3 LR AWD on your mind as your next car but haven’t pulled the trigger yet, we have some bad news for you – the only way to get one now is by whatever’s in the existing inventory as Tesla Malaysia has discontinued the option in the configurator. As of publishing time, there are only two demo units left.

For new orders, you will only be able to choose from the Standard RWD, Premium RWD, Premium LR RWD or go all the way up to the Model 3 Performance. This means going for the Performance is now the only way for you to enjoy the Model 3’s 16 speaker sound system, while the rest of the range makes do with lower specs for audio.

In other Tesla Malaysia news, a new Supercharger has gone live in the southern region at The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey. The new site features 4 Superchargers with the usual specs of 250 kW peak output.

To celebrate the opening, Tesla Malaysia is offering free usage of the Mid Valley Southkey Supercharger up to Sunday, April 5 2026.

  • Tesla may hold more glory than its traditional Mercedes-Benz and BMW rivals. In the USA, for every two Teslas sold, only one Mercedes or BMW rival is sold.

Now, in Malaysia, there are more Tesla Model 3s than the traditional top-selling Corolla Sedan and Camry combined.
However, it’s time for a new model, not just a facelift.

The Tesla Model 3 has spanned from 2018 to 2026… it needs a new model to stay competitive in the 2026+ EV market, rather than simply generating a new ‘Wawasan’ vision while we align with the 2015 Paris Agreement.

Thumb up 5 Thumb down 1
