Following the earlier announcement by the road transport department (JPJ) of the suspension of the online vehicle ownership transfer service from today, transport minister Anthony Loke has now stated that the department has agreed for the service to be brought back online, and for any system suspension for maintenance to be carried out this weekend.
The road transport department informed the ministry of transport (MoT) of the abuse and fraud that was found to have occurred in its online vehicle ownership transfer system, and the transport minister said that JPJ should be held liable. As such, JPJ needs to carry out improvements to the online system immediately, Loke said.
The department has also been advised to ensure that its system upgrading works do not interfere with the day-to-day dealings of regular users, and not cause significant congestion at JPJ offices, the transport minister continued.
The road transport department (JPJ) previously announced that it has suspended online vehicle ownership transfer effective today, May 25, and that the suspension covers all digital platforms including its public portal, kiosks, and service providers including MyEG and eAuto.
Earlier, the decision to suspend online vehicle ownership transfer was taken as the JPJ had received complaints, including on social media, that ownership transfers had been carried out without the knowledge of registered owners, JPJ stated previously.

Shouldnt the JPJ DG resign for this?
Looks like an easily hackable on line cheap cheap system.
Or,there is a “hantuvirus” ..perhaps,perhaps an inside job.
Weeks ago, there was an upheaval about a luxury MPV gone with the wind during Michael Chong of MCA press conference.
Action should have been taken then.
Heads must roll,n JPJ held accountable.
Imagine a RM300K mpv changed hands without u knowing, and the bank is harrassing u to pay.
It’s always Anthony Loke problem. Others just hide behind
maybe we should pay Loke quadruple salary since you expect him to be responsible for the jobs of transport miniuster, Myeg ceo, eAuto ceo , and JPJ DG
It’s not Transport ministry if there’s no problem. And the problem is these problems was never a problem in the past. No physical road tax, license, total blackout tint, frequent LRT outage, KLIA aerotrain. You name it.
