Ford Ranger lineup Malaysia 2026

The current-generation “Next-Gen” Ford Ranger has been on sale in Malaysia since 2022, and its line-up has quietly grown into one of the widest in the pick-up segment. It expanded again in July 2026 with four new variants – the Platinum 3.0, Sport 3.0, Sport 2.0 and a re-launched XL – taking the range to over a dozen versions including the Raptor.

One thing to note up front: the range is in transition. The older 2.0 litre Bi-Turbo diesel has been discontinued globally, so variants still using it (and the pre-update single-turbo) remain on sale in Malaysia only until existing stock runs out – the Raptor 2.0 included.

Shared specifications (all non-Raptor double cabs)

Every Ranger double cab shares the same body and hardware basics:

  • Dimensions: 5,370 mm long, 1,918 mm wide, 1,884 mm tall
  • Wheelbase: 3,270 mm
  • Fuel tank: 80 litres
  • Payload / towing: 1 tonne / 3.5 tonnes
  • Suspension: double wishbones (front), leaf springs (rear)
  • Warranty: 5 years / 160,000 km

The engines

The line-up runs on four powertrains:

  • 2.0L single-turbo diesel – 170 PS / 405 Nm; updated for 2026 with a timing chain (replacing the wet belt) and new fuel injectors
  • 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel – 207 PS / 500 Nm; being phased out as global production has ended
  • 3.0L V6 turbodiesel – 250 PS / 600 Nm; the most powerful diesel option
  • 3.0L V6 EcoBoost petrol – 397 PS / 583 Nm; Raptor only

  • 3.0 V6 petrol (293 PS): the Raptor’s high-performance heart.
