Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) is set to introduce the Mitsubishi Triton Championship Edition, a special run of the pick-up inspired by the brand’s Asia Cross Country Rally (AXCR) 2025 victory last year. Two Triton Championship Edition versions, based on the Triton Athlete and the Triton AT Premium, will make their way into showrooms next week, on March 11.
The championship edition models feature a package consisting of elements not available on standard Triton models. They will also be offered only in limited numbers. In the case of the Athlete version, this will be limited to 150 units, priced at RM169,980 (on-the-road, without insurance).
Available exclusively in a Jet Black Mica exterior shade, the edition of the Triton Athlete – which features a 204 PS and 470 Nm Hyperpower 4N16 2.4 litre turbodiesel engine – has been dressed up with distinctive body decals and all-terrain tyres, the latter not only elevating the looks but offering improved performance across varied terrain and conditions.
Additionally, the special Athlete variant comes with a nine-inch infotainment system (the standard car has a seven-inch unit) for enhanced connectivity and convenience. There’s also an all-round monitor system to significantly improve visibility and driving safety, and to top it all off, the front headrests feature a reminder of the AXCR win in the form of a champions logo.
As for the Triton AT Premium, the championship edition version of it is limited to 120 units. Available exclusively in a White Diamond exterior, it features 18-inch black sports rims, a styling bar, front lower bumper garnish and distinctive body decals. Inside, it also gets the aesthetic AXCR headrest covers. The limited run variant, which features the same 2.4 litre mill but with 184 PS and 430 Nm, is priced at RM155,980 (on-the-road, without insurance).
In conjunction with the launch of the Championship Edition variants, customers who book either model will receive an exclusive key fob case cover and a motorsports sticker pack.

crazy prices just going up and up despite ringgit being strong, and with diesel at RM3.1 per liter who the heck will buy this triton?
A ‘standard’ Triton Athlete now has 15k discount, so the price gap to this is actually 25k. Bad value imo.
Love the less is more design with simple touches. Going to check out if they offer similar rebate for this..
