Which variant to buy
Most buyers should start with the RM281,888 Trend. On the listed mechanical specification, it matches the RM313,888 Titanium and RM338,888 Wildtrak with 207 hp, a 1,996 cc diesel, AWD, automatic transmission and seven seats; check the equipment list before paying more for trim. The RM316,888 Sport and RM348,888 Platinum 2.0L have 168 hp. Pay RM430,888 for the Platinum 3.0L V6 only if its 246 hp and 2,993 cc diesel are the priority.

Verdict
The Everest gives buyers a broad six-variant range, with every version carrying seven seats, diesel power, AWD and an automatic gearbox. The Trend is the key entry point because it has the same listed 207 hp output as Titanium and Wildtrak. But it is not a cheap route into this class: it costs RM86,008 more than the RM195,880 Toyota Fortuner. The V6 Platinum is a substantial step up in power, but also in cost.
